Symptom

In the BusinessObjects XI R2 Designer SDK, the 'SaveAsEx' and 'SaveAs' methods fail to save a file whose name is longer than eight characters and the following error message appears:

"Runtime error 45: The file name is too long ( 8 characters maximum)".
