1220385 - Unexpected results when using ActiveX Viewer after deploying merge modules

The Crystal Reports XI merge nodules do not install usp10.dll to the target computer. As a result, an unexpected version of usp10.dll may be loaded when viewing reports with the ActiveX Viewer. When an older version of Microsoft Office is on the target computer, an older version of usp10.dll may be loaded, leading to unpredictable results when using the ActiveX Viewer.

The issue has been identified and tracked under ID ADAPT00573298.

Hot Fixes or Service Packs address this issue as indicated below. With the update(s), the merge module CrystalReportsXX_RDC_Reportengine.msm is updated to install usp10.dll (the XX portion is dependent on product version).

Known limitations: Merge Modules are not installed by a Hot Fix. They are available on the Downloads area of our web site.

Unless indicated otherwise, Critical Hot Fix updates from the FTP site have only been tested with English versions of our products.
