1231275 - PCM: user privileges for MDX connector

Symptom

When using the MDX Connector a user is presented with a blank or incomplete drop-down list at Step 4 of the 'Create New Data Source' screen. The drop-down list is headed "Select the Cube which contains the data you want.", however, no model/cube name is available, or the specific model that is required does not appear in the list.

Environment

SAP Profitability and Cost Management versions 7.5 and 10 (BOBJ PCM 7.5 and SBOP PCM 10.0)

To check which version of PCM is installed, go to Help > About in any PCM interface, or check the splash screen when launching the application.
