Symptom
- Getting an error when refreshing Crystal Report in Crystal Report Designer
- Error: “Unable to save the parameter”
Reproducing the Issue
1. Create a Crystal report
2. Create a static parameter
3. Import the values of the parameter from a text file
4. Refresh the report in the designer
5. The error is displayed
Environment information
· Crystal Reports Developer Release 1
Cause
The parameter has been corrupted and the txt files has some garbage value in the first line
Resolution
1. Open the text file and delete the garbage value and save the file.
2. Make a copy of the report.
3. Delete the parameter and recreate the parameter based on the new text file
4. Refresh the report and it works fine
