Symptom
- Page orientation changes from landscape to portrait after printing in Crystal Report Viewer.
Reproducing the Issue
- Create a report in Crystal Report Designer
- Go to File Menu
- Select Page Setup
- Choose Landscape page orientation in Orientation frame
- Save the report
- Open this saved report in Crystal Report Viewer. It shows the desired output with Landscape page orientation
- Print report.
Environment:
Crystal Report Viewer XI.
Crystal Report Designer XI Release 2
Cause
At the time of printing, the page orientation is set to default page orientation which is Portrait. This is caused by design and an Enhancement Request (ER) has been raised for this.
Resolution
Workaround
Set the Report page orientation manually in Crystal Report Viewer.
In Crystal Report Viewer follow the below steps (no need for this extra line)
Open Crystal Report Viewer
Go to File Menu >> Print Current Section…
Click on Properties… button >> Page Tab
Select Landscape option in the Orientation Pane >> Click on OK.
Print the Report.
