Symptom

ODBC connection to DB2 database

Errors selecting tables

Error: ‘Database Connector Error (IBM)(CLI Driver)(DB2/6000) SQL10013N the specified library /opt/db2/sqllib/function/SYSIBM.SQLTABLES could not be loaded’

Error: ‘Database Connector Error (IBM)(CLI Driver)(DB2/6000) SQL10013N the specified library /opt/db2/sqllib/function/SYSIBM.SQLPROCEDURES could not be loaded’

Reproducing the Issue

From Crystal Reports, Database Expert, create new ODBC connection to DB2 database;

Select tables;

Environment Information:

DB2 server: version DB2 v7.1.0.72

DB2 client: IBM DB2 Administration Client version 8.1.6

IBM ODBC Driver 8.01.06.664

Crystal reports 2008

Cause

The ODBC driver does not support the connection.

Resolution

Use DataDirect ODBC driver 5.3 to connect to DB2 database
