1255738 - Crystal Reports 2008 set up has failed error is generated

When trying to install Crystal Reports 2008 on a Windows 2000 SP4 machine, the error message "Crystal Reports 2008 setup has failed" is being generated.

Crystal Reports 2008 can only be installed on machines that are using one of the following operating systems. Therefore install Crystal Reports 2008 onto a machine that uses one of these operating systems which should then allow the Crystal Reports 2008 designer to be installed without this error message.
