1262247 - Time Ignored In A Date & Time Filter

Symptom

  • We have a universe filter object defined using a date & time field. The purpose of the filter is to prompt for From and To entries. The universe uses a predefined condition that is pointing to a date dimension object.The problem is that the time value entered in the Prompt field is not translated into the SQL. If datetime selected is 02/11/2008 00:00 to 02/11/2008 23:59 the SQL generated contains:WHERE  ( (Tablename.DateObjectName1) >= '02/11/2005 00:0:0' AND (Tablename.DateObjectName1) <= '02/11/2005 00:0:0' )
  • Note that the time is always 00:0:0
  • Sql Swerver using timestamp in a prompt
