1264585 - Migrating from BO 6.5 to 3.0 , ERR204 Unable to import universe from repository

Symptom

When migrating from version 6.5 to XI R2 or XI 3.0 , none of universes or Business Objects documents (.rep) migrate. The Import Wizard finds the universes and documents as we can select them from the list, but after the import is finished we receive the following messages:

Fail to get universe content from the source system. (ERR204) Unable to import universe from repository

Fail to get document content from the source system. (ERR19) Internal error, consult logfile for details.

Please note that categories, domain catalogues and connections migrate without any problem.
