Symptom
As a time administrator, when you assign an individual work schedule to an employee and specify a daily time model, you might notice that the Start Time and End Time fields are not automatically populated with those defined in the time model.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Time Administration work center.
- Go to Employees view.
- Select an employee and click Edit button.
- Go to Time Profile tab and the sub-tab Work Schedule.
- Select Individual option in Work Schedule field.
- Click Add Row button under the section Individual Work Schedule to configure the individual time schedule.
- Select Daily model from the value help.
- Start Time and End Time are not populated automatically with those defined in the time model.
Cause
This is the expected system behaviour.
You can configure each day of an individual work schedule in two ways:
- Specify Time Type, Start Time and End Time. In this case the Daily Model cannot not be filled.
- Specify a Daily Model. In this case the fields Time Type, Start Time and End Time cannot be filled. Note that they are not populated automatically because a Daily Time Model can be made up of many different time intervals and time types.
Resolution
To view the Daily Model details, including time type, start time, and end time for each interval, simply select the row and click Open.
