Symptom

Thick client applications fail to login using Active Directory (AD) or LDAP authentication. 

This may effect any client tools including:

  • Crystal Reports
  • Publishing Wizard
  • Business View Manager
  • Designer
  • Desktop Intelligence

Error messages include:

  • "Security plugin error: An error has occurred in the plugin, but the plugin is unable to return a detailed error message."
