Thick client applications fail to login using Active Directory (AD) or LDAP authentication. 

This may effect any client tools including:

• Crystal Reports
• Publishing Wizard
• Business View Manager
• Designer
• Desktop Intelligence

Error messages include:

• "Security plugin error: An error has occurred in the plugin, but the plugin is unable to return a detailed error message."
• "Cannot access the repository. (USR0013) [repo_proxy 13] SessionFacade::openSessionLogon with user info has failed(Security plugin error: An error has occurred in the plugin, but the plugin is unable to return a detailed error message.(hr=#0x80042a01)

Several versions can be affected including Business Objects Enterprise XIr2 Service Pack 4 Fix Pack 4.5
