Symptom

  • Active Directory logins to Query as a Web Service (QaaWS) and LiveOffice fail for WebLogic v9.22 in Business Objects Enterprise XI 3.1
  • Issue has also occurred on Websphere 6.1 and could occur on other java application servers  
  • The issue is most likely related to the JDK the web/app is running. It's possible other supported web/app servers will run across this issue as well
  • The solution can be considered a best practice as the class paths are not needed except for very old unsupported JDK's deleting them anytime will avoid this problem

Impossible to log 'ad_user_name' on 'http://appserver:port/dswsbobje/services/Session'.
