1288774 - How do you automatically log off a user when using viewreport.aspx as the WebReportSource

Symptom

It takes twenty minutes for a license to be released when using ViewReport.aspx as the Web Source for the Crystal ActiveX Report Viewer.

Reproducing the Issue

Business Objects XI Release 2
Visual Basic 6 Windows Application
Using ViewReport.aspx for WebReportSource as the ReportSource for the Crystal ActiveX Report Viewer control

Cause

The ViewReport.aspx does not automatically log users off because it would need client-side Java Script which is not supported by all browsers and can be considered a security risk.

Resolution

Move to a pure web based application using our .NET or Java SDK to manage session handling in code.
