1292886 - Client not found in kerberos database when trying to set up vintela or other kerberos options with windows 2008 Domain controllers

Symptom

  • Kinit of vintela service account UPN (idm.princ@IDM.REALM) receives " client not found in kerberos database "
  • Using the trace option "-Djcsi.kerberos.debug=true", tomcat logs show " client not found in kerberos database "
  • Packet scan shows "KERB5KDC_ERR_C_PRINICPAL_UNKNOWN" for failed TGS request
  • Upgraded 2003 to 2008 and now vintela SSO doesn't work
  • Unable to configure vintela SSO in 2008 environment
  • unable to receive a ticket from AD
