1295528 - Action results in error message containing 'Please check the file permissions for <libclntsh.so>' while trying to access the Oracle Client.

Symptom

  • Error message contains '..<Oracle shared library<libclntsh.so> not found. Please make sure it is installed and can be located using the ibrary search path (LIBPATH on AIX, LD_LIBRARY_PATH on Solaris/Linux, SHLIB_PATH on HP_UX). Please check the file permissions for <libclntsh.so>.>.
  • Possibe error codes:
    • BODI-320006 -- while installing Data Services 12.1.x in the installer after selecting '1 - Use and existing database' and loading the Oracle Database type; checking the $ORACLE_HOME path; loading the TNSNAME, User ID, password and pressing tab.
    • CON-120421 -- repository resync using ./svrcfg
