1296604 - Exporting a Report that uses @Arial Unicode MS font without a printer installed creates badly rendered result.

  • Using font @Arial Unicode MS (The @ indicates that this font contains additional information used to display vertical text)
  • No Printer Installed
  • Resulting Exported report will be incorrectly formatted.

With no printers installed, Crystal Reports will use the default Microsoft Generic Printer driver.  This printer driver is not capable of handling the @Arial Unicode MS font and will not render it correctly.

Install a printer driver capable of render the font.

Workaround: When not using vertical text change the font to a non-@ version of the font (e.g. Arial Unicode MS instead of @Arial Unicode MS)
