1297651 - "Unexpected end of the file or Invalid compressed data format violated" when dowloading XIR2 SP2 packages

Symptom

  • Unable to unzip the files downloaded from service.sap.com for Business Objects XI Release 2 Service Pack 2.
  • The file extensions are tgz:boxir2sol_sp2_part1.tgz, boxir2sol_sp2_part2.tgz, boxir2sol_sp2_part3.tgz.
  • The error messages you will get are
    • "unexpected end of the file".
    • "Invalid compressed data format violated" and the file will not be unzipped.
