1300525 - Incorrect value when using percentage count summary in a cross-tab in Crystal Reports

Symptom

  • Incorrect value is displayed in cross-tab for the field summary which is displayed as a percentage count
  • Value is rounded off to the nearest whole number

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a report with a cross-tab
  2. Using cross-tab expert, insert the appropriate rows and columns
  3. Insert a field summary
  4. Click on 'Change summary' button
  5. Calculate this Summary as 'Count'
  6. Check 'Show as a percentage of'
  7. Click ok
  8. Preview the report

Cause

This is considered as a product limitation.  Percentage count is treated as an integer and hence the values are truncated.

Resolution

Workaround:

 Use the function Sum instead of Count to retain the decimals.
