1300923 - Page Orientation Changes automatically in Crystal Reports.

Symptom

When width is greater than height in Page Option pane, page orientation changes automatically in Crystal Reports.

Environment

  • Crystal Reports XI R2
  • Crystal Reports 2008 SP1

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Launch Crystal Reports Application. 
  2. Create Sample Report.
  3. Click on File >Page Setup.
  4. Select Page Orientation as "Portrait".
  5. Check the option "Dissociate Formatting Page Size and Printer Paper Size".
  6. Select "User Define Size" from drop down list. Set the Horizontal number as 18 and vertical number as 11.

Cause

This issue has been identified as a bug and tracked under ADAPT ID: ADAPT01171976

Resolution

Install Fix Pack 1.2 for Crystal Reports 2008.

Workaround:

Below steps work only with printer drivers which allow to create custom form. 

  1. Click on Start.
  2. Click on Printers and Faxes.
  3. Select specific printer.
  4. Click on File > Printer Server Properties.
  5. Click on Forms Tab> check the option "Create a new form".
  6. In the Form description pane, set the width as 18 and Height as 11 in
  7. Write the name of Form name.
  8. Click on Save Form button.
  9. Click on Apply button and then Click on Close button.
  10. Open Sample report.
  11. Go to "Page Setup option".
  12. Select predefine page size.
