1311994 - Can not avoid the login screen for LiveOffice

Symptom

When previewing the dashboard in Xcelsius with LiveOffice it prompts for Business Objects credentials.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open Excel.
  2. Click on LiveOffice and Insert.
  3. Select any Crystal Report Content or Web Intelligence Report Content from the wizard .
  4. Save the excel file.
  5. Open Xcelsius and import the excel import.
  6. Click on Manage connections and add server name in the web service url.
  7. Preview the dashboard , prompts for Business Objects Login credentials.

Product version:-Xcelsius 2008 Service Pack1

Cause

The issue is by product design.

Resolution

Workaround:

  1. Export the dashboard to Business Objects Platform.
  2. View the dashboard in infoview as it automatically passes the login token to LiveOffice.
