1313125 - Text strings displayed incorrectly in the Crystal Reports DHTML viewer

Symptom

  • When running the Crystal Reports in a Visual Studio .NET application, the DHTML viewer displays text fields incorrectly
  • This includes incorrect underlines, incorrect spaces, incorrect word wrapping, etc.

Reproducing the Issue

  • Create a report in the CR 2008 designer.
  • Run the report in the Crystal Reports Designer. All text fields should be displayed correctly.
  • Now, load the same report in a .NET application (win or web). Text fields may not be displayed as in the Crystal Reports Designer.

Cause

  • The USP10.dll is loading from c:\windows\system32
  •  The Crystal Reports designer loads the usp10.dll from C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86

Resolution

  • Technical Escalation number 5000074968 has been created and assigned to QA for a resolution of the issue
  • This issue has been resolved in Service Pack 1
