1313667 - How To Fix 'Connection refused' Error When Logging onto BusinessObjects Enterprise using Enterprise SDK

Symptom

  • BusinessObjects Enterprise SDK used to connect to BusinessObjects Enterprise or Crystal Reports Server.
  • Either Firewall, Reverse Proxy or IP Re-Mapper exists between the application server and the Central Management Server (CMS).
  • Error "Connection refused" and/or "Server <hostname> not found or server may be down" where <hostname> is incorrect.
  • Pinging (ping <hostname>) on the application server machine shows incorrect IP for CMS server machine.
