Symptom

During the installation of Crystal Reports 2008 Service Pack 0 the following error message is thrown:

"Error 1904. Module C:\Program Files\BusinessObjects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\craxddrt.dll failed to register. HRESULT-2147024769. Contact your support personnel."

Reproducing the Issue

Install Crystal Reports 2008 Service Pack 0

Resolution

Install Crystal Reports 2008 Service Pack 1 instead.
