1316153 - Error :" CS specified RDBMS is invalid : Oracle 10" in BOE XI R2 when CREATING or EDITING a connection based on Oracle or Sybase database

Symptom

  • In BusinessObjects Enterprise  XI Release 2 cannot CREATE a new connection or EDIT existing connection based on Oracle or Sybase database.
  • It gives an error " CS specified RDBMS is invalid : Oracle 10"
  • When Click " Test Connection" for any existing Oracle or Sybase connection it gives error "CS specified RDBMS is invalid : Oracle 10"
  • When Click on " Edit Connection" it gives an error "Unable to edit the f.O connection.CS: Specified RDBMS is invalid: Oracle 10 network layer is not available.(DAC002)"
