Symptom

  • There are new APIs in Crystal Reports 2008 that can be used to create a Progress Dialog.
  • At this time the APIs apply only to web applications.
  • An enhancement request has been created to add this feature to the Windows Form viewer for windows applications.

Resolution

  1. To see details of the Progress Dialog APIs, download the Crystal Reports 2008 .Net SDK Developer Guide file from the Analytics SAP Help Portal.

  2. Search for "Report Processing Indicator" in the Developer Help file.
