1325931 - [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Could not find server '<Serverinstance>' in sys.servers

Symptom

  • After changing the instance of the database server and when trying to create new Desktop Intelligence reports getting an error
  • [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Could not find server '<Serverinstance>' in sys.servers. Verify that the correct server name was specified. If necessary, execute the stored procedure sp_addlinkedserver to add the server to sys.servers   
  • Symptom is also present when trying to change the Database location within a Crystal Report - Replace by a new connection and new Database server.
