Test Connection for newly installed DataDirect Oracle ODBC Driver 5.1 returns the error:
Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 126 (CR Oracle ODBC Driver 5.1)
Reproducing the Issue
Configure Data Source Name for DataDirect Oracle ODBC Driver 5.1 and click Test Connection
Cause
Oracle Client is not installed on the computer
Resolution
Install Oracle client.
Note:
The recommended difference between Oracle Client version and Oracle Database version should not be more than 2 levels. For example:
Version of Oracle Client to connect to Oracle 11 Database should not be less than 9.
