1341532 - Migrating Information Spaces between two BusinessObjects Enterprise environments

Symptom

  • While performing a content promotion from one BusinessObjects Enterprise (BOE) system to another, the Import Wizard is unable to migrate Information Spaces of BusinessObjects Explorer (BO Explorer). 
  • When the Import Wizard completes, either of the two failure messages might be displayed for the information space:
  • Error: "SI_FLAGS msg:  SetPropVARIANT() - can't update readonly property!"
  • Error: "Failed to create a new CrystalEnterprise.DataDiscovery. Reason: Item SI_NEWOBJECT was not found in the collection."
