Symptom
- Using a generic print driver for two different models of printers causes one of the printer to not print correctly and disregard certain settings.
Reproducing the Issue
- Crystal Reports 2008
Cause
Crystal Reports will print correctly if it has a single print driver file installed for each printer. Using a generic driver for multiple printers using the same DLL will cause one of the printers to print incorrectly.
Resolution
To correct this don't use generic drivers, use drivers specific for the model of printer you are using. If this is not possible copy and rename the print driver DLL so that the Crystal will see a single print driver used for each printer.
