1368549 - ERROR: javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Received fatal alert: bad_record_mac using Webi SSL

Symptom

  • BusinessObjects is deployed using Tomcat 5.5 as an Application server.  Tomcat has been SSL secured and is fronted with Apache 2.2 using the mod_jk connector.  Apache is also configured for SSL using mod_ssl
  • Using this specific deployment scenario, this error message may be displayed when trying to launch the Webi Report Pannel.
  • javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Received fatal alert: bad_record_mac
