Crystal Reports 2008

1. Create a MS Access database with two curreny fields.

2. Create a field in the database for rounding the curreny fiedl. This rounding field should have whole integer number values so that this can be use for conditional rounding in Crystal Report.

3. Create a Crystal Report with the two curreny fields.

4. Right click on one of the curreny field and click on Format field.

5. Under Number Tab, click on Customize.

6. Click on X-2 for Rounding and put the currency rounding field there.

7. Save and close the formula editor. Crystal Report would now display a green check mark on the Currency rounding field on the field explorer.

8. Right click on the above field again and click Format painter.

9. Click on the second currency field.

10. The second currency field also would now have the same conditional rounding applied.

11. Now right click on the second rounding field and manually remove the rounding currency field from condition and put a whole number there e.g 2.

12. Do the above for the other currency field also.

13. Crystal Reports would still display a green check mark on the rounding currency field.

Once Format painter has been used to format any field with reference to other field, it has to be used once again to remove that.

To remove the formatting use the Format painter only, and it after doing so, Crystal Report will no more display a green check mark on the rounding curreny field on the field explorer.
