1368960 - Changes in database table names when migrating a Universe to XI3.1 causes reports to fail and when corrected causes Universe Overloads (access restrictions) to be ignored

Symptom

  • Table naming convention changes when migrating from classic BusinessObjects Enterprise or pre-SP2 BusinessObjects Enterprise XIR2 versions to XI 3.1
  • This causes queries to fail in WebI and DeskI reports based on the migrated Universe.
  • Updating the table names corrects the reporting errors, but the table name changes are not propagated to the Universe Overloads.
  • Access restrictions need to be recreated after the table names have been updated to reflect the updated table names.
  • With many Universes containing many overloads, this may not be feasible to manually update.
