1369053 - How to Share prompts across queries in Crystal Reports Designer

How to share prompts across Universe queries within Crystal Reports Designer?  

Prompts could be shared between multiple queries in Crystal Reports 2008 V1 and up only. This could be achieved only when designing new reports based on Universe. Reports that are already created cannot be modified to utilize this option.

Below are the steps on how to share prompts between multiple Universe queries in Crystal Reports

1. Connect to Universe off which you want to create report
2. Within the query panel select objects, and the objects you want to get prompted.
3. Go to the properties, by clicking on properties button on lower left corner of query panel and select "Share Prompts across queries".
4. After selecting that option, click OK to get out of the Properties window and click OK again to get out of query Panel.

Do the above steps for another query you want to add and share prompts.

NOTE: If you do not select option "Share Prompts across queries" before getting out of query panel, the prompts will not be shared and you have to go back and select query all over again.
