Symptom
Reproducing the Issue
- Create a custom Crystal Reports User Function Library (UFL) in Visual Studio .NET.
- To make the UFL appear in the Formula Editor, follow the instructions as described in the developer help files or the Creating Crystal reports User Function Libraries (UFL) with Visual Studio .NET blog.
- The developer help file states:
This assembly/COM object (the User Function Library, or UFL) then becomes visible within the embedded Crystal Reports Designer as a customized function under "Functions>Additional Functions>u2lcom.dll".
- The u2lcom.dll never shows up
Resolution
- The actual name that appears under Additional Functions is:
COM and .NET UFLs (u212com.dll)
- The functions defined in your UFL will appear under the "COM and .NET UFLs (u212com.dll)" heading.
