1370399 - LCM Job server disappears after installing LCM SP2

Symptom

  • After installing the LifeCycle Manager (LCM) SP2 upgrade package on Windows (32/64 bit), the LCM Job Server is missing in the CMC > Servers
  • When using Create New Service, LCM cannot be added manually from CMC > Servers as it is not listed in the services that can be added
  • Trying to Change/remove the LCM SP2 installation from Windows Add/Remove Programs, it throws the following error message:
    • "Error 1723. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."
  • In the Event Viewer, EventID 11723 from MsiInstaller:
    • "Action SetPatchMode, entry: SetPatchProperties, library: C:\WINDOWS\Installer\MSI12.tmp"
