SAP Knowledge Base Article - Preview

1373739 - Error: “Parse Failed: Exception: DBD, [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server] Statement(s) could not be prepared. State: 42000” while parsing objects in Universe Designer.

Symptom

  • Unable to parse objects in Designer
  • Universes migrated from BO XIR2 to BO XI3.1 gives parse error with objects "Parse Failed: Exception: DBD, [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server] Statement(s) could not be prepared. State: 42000"
  • The object names ending with a dot (.) gives the above error. The same universe objects work fine in BO XIR2
