1383969 - LCM Promoting Report Requires Edit on Universe

Symptom

  • Using LCM to delegate the promotion of reports from a source CMS to a destination CMS to our report authors.
  • The report authors have view/edit rights on the report, but only view rights on the universe.
  • When a user chooses to promote a report, the promotion fails indicating that the user needs edit rights on the universe, even though they did not choose to promote the universe.
  • The report authors cannot have edit rights on the universe in the destination CMS and they should not need this just to promote a report.
