1384092 - Segmentation fault installing XI 3.1 on Linux running on AMD Opteron Multicore (e.g. Quad Core) chipset

Symptom

  • Segmentation fault during the CMS initialization phase of the install
  • Core file may be created in the <bobje> directory and install will abort
  • Gdb output of the core file shows the following:
    • #0 0xf63cdeee in process_next_block () from <install location>/bobje/enterprise120/linux_x86/libWrapCryptoC.so

  • Output during install:
