1389387 - 'Add-on manager' is disabled/grayed-out in Xcelsius

• Unable to install an Xcelsius add-on
• Add-ons manager option is grayed-out

1. Launch Xcelsius 2008
2. Go to File - > Add-ons Manager

==> Option is grayed-out

This is an administrative rights issue.

The following resolution involves editing the registry. Using the Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems. Use the Registry Editor at your own risk. Refer to Note 1323322 for more information.

1. Open the registry (regedit)

2. Navigate to the following folder:

SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

3. Modify the  "EnableLUA" value as follows:

Value: "EnableLUA"
Type: REG_DWORD
Data: 0

Value Meaning

0x00000000 Disabling this policy disables the "administrator in Admin Approval Mode" user type.

0x00000001 This policy enables the "administrator in Admin Approval Mode" user type while also enabling all other User Account Control (UAC) policies.
