Symptom

The path or file name is invalid error 3044 occurs when editing list of values (LOV)  for the universe in a migrated Desktop Intelligence document with the following conditions:

  • Document and universe are migrated from BusinessObjects 5.x
  • Universe contains LOV file
  • LOV file uses personal data file
  • The path of the personal data file contains Japanese folder name
