1391821 - "The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship with remote server" after switching to https

Symptom

  • Server Error in '/OSoft' Application. The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship with remote server.
  • Error message appears when attempting to log on through the connection wizard using the Connection options: "Use secure port (only if web server is SSL-enabled)"
  • Connection Wizard then states "The user ID and password cannot be authenticated. Go back and make sure you entered the valid credentials."
