1391904 - The List View header displays the date as a serial number

Symptom

A date value formatted as MM/DD/YYYY appears as a number when displayed in the header of the List View component.

Reproducing the Issue

Environment:

  • Xcelsius 2008 Service Pack 1, Fixpack 3
  • Microsoft Office 2007
  • Windows XP Professional
  1. Launch Xcelsius 2008 Service Pack 1, Fixpack 3.
  2. Create a sample web service to return date values (ie. QaaWS).
  3. Bind the output to A1.
  4. Select a List view component and bind the "display" field to A1.
  5. Preview the model and the header shows a number instead of date.

Cause

  • Date format settings are not translated into the List View header.  As a result, the serial form of the date value is displayed. 
  • The issue has been identified and logged under Problem Report ID ADAPT01260598.

Resolution

The issue is resolved in Xcelsius 2008 Service Pack 2, Fixpack 1 (SP 2.1).
