1394217 - Can Crystal Reports Designer and Business Objects Client applications be installed on the same machine?

• Having Crystal Reports client tool XI Release 1 installed on a client machine, is it possible to have Business Objects Enterprise XI Release 2 installed on the same machine?
• Will it conflict with the existing Crystal Client?

• Crystal Reports XI Release 1
• Business Objects XI Release 2

Crystal Reports client tool can co-exist with Business objects Enterprise on one machine without any problem.  However, it is strongly recommended for both products to be on the same version if reports will be saved to enteprise.  In this example, if Business Objects Enterprise XI Release 2 is installed, Crystal Reports client will need to be upgraded to Release 2 and then on addition, both product can be patched as required.  Again it is recommended to have the latest Service pack and Fix Pack installed on both to ensure a consistent environment.
