Symptom
- Report when refreshed shows the status of pagination in the Navigation Bar as 1+, this misleads when print is taken, as there can be n number of pages.
- When navigated to the other pages after the refresh, it starts showing the status as 1 of 1+, 2 of 2+, etc.
- While viewing the report first time itself, total page count should be displayed in navigation toolbar (e.g. 1 of 50).
Environment
- Crystal Reports XI,
- Crystal Reports XI Release 2
- Crystal Reports 2008.
Cause
Crystal would first need to process the entire report to display the page number count, and this would lead to unwanted performance issues. Hence at first, before processing the entire report, the numbers display as 1of 1+, etc. The behavior is same in Crystal Report Designer, Java/.Net Infoview.
Resolution
This is a default and correct behavior and applies to all Crystal Products.
