1405285 - Excel file cannot be opened directly after exporting to Excel

Symptom

  • Error message: "A DDE error has occurred, and a description of the error cannot be displayed because it is too long. If the filename or path is long, try renaming the file or copying it to a different folder" happened.
  • Or error message: "Windows cannot find 'C:\Documents and Setting\<Logon User Name>\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\<Encoded Document Tiltle>[1].xls'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click Start, and then click Search" happened.
  • All of the multibyte characters are encoded when the excel file is opened
