1405490 - How to use excel INDIRECT() and CELL() functions in Xcelsius ?

Symptom

Availability of MS Excel INDIRECT() and CELL() function in Xcelsius.

In MS Excel, the INDIRECT() worksheet function is a useful tool for creating cell or range references.

INDIRECT()  allows you to put the address of one cell in another, and get data from the first cell by referencing the second.For example, if cell A1 has the value "C3", then =INDIRECT(A1) will return the value in C3.

 

In MS Excel, the Cell function can be used to retrieve information about a cell. This can include contents, formatting, size, etc.

Environment

Xcelcius 2008

Cause

The MS Excel functions INDIRECT() and CELL() are not available in Xcelsius.

Resolution

An Enhancement Request has been logged under ID ADAPT01316805.

The Enhancement Request (ER) will be considered in terms of future product development when considering possible new features in the next major release.

Please note that the ER may or may not be included depending on various factors.
