1408415 - Error: The current hostname could not be resolved (STU00137)

Symptom

When installing Business Objects Enterprise XI 3.1 on a UNIX OS, the install script fails and throws the following error messages:

  1. Errcode 1 :/51035053/jdk/bin/java -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=false -jar /<installaiont Directory>/51035053/setup/utils/ResolveHost.jar "HOSTNAME"
  2. FATAL ERROR: The  current hostname could not be resolved (STU00137)
