1409766 - User can Post Journal Entry Voucher to a company without Read/Write Access

A user is assigned to "General Ledger - Journal Entry Vouchers" Work Center View with restriction to a specific company ABC but still the user can post to other company PQR.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Application and User Management Work Center.
2. Navigate to the Business User View.
3. Search for the User ID.
4. Click on Edit - Access Rights.
5. Go to Access Restriction tab
6. Filter with Workcenter View Name - Journal Entry Voucher
7. You can find:
   Company ABC is ticked with Read and Write access.
   Company PQR is Not ticked with Read and Write access.
8. Go to General Ledger work center.
9. Click on New Journal Entry Voucher.
10. Here you can Simulate/Post Journal Entry Voucher for Company PQR.

Coming from the additionally assigned Work Center Views "Fixed Asset" or View "General Ledger - Recurring Journal Entry Vouchers" a policy is created that gives a user, the authorization in the "General Ledger" Work Center in general, to post in all Companies that he/she is allowed to post to in the additionally added Work Center Views. This policy is needed to allow the reversal of Journal Entry Vouchers created by the business users.

You can find the Access rights for Fixed Asset work center using below steps:

1. Go to Application and User Management Work Center.
2. Navigate to the Business User View.
3. Search for the User ID.
4. Click on Edit - Access Rights.
5. Go to Access Restriction tab
6. Filter with Workcenter View Name - Fixed Assets

You can find:

• Company PQR is ticked with Read and Write access.

This is a standard system behaviour.
