1410951 - Cannot see clusters under the CL entry using the Open SQL Driver for SAP sources in Crystal Reports.

Symptom

  • No clusters are listed under the CL (cluster) folder.
  • The list of clusters is empty.

Environment

  • Crystal Reports 2008 Service Pack 2
  • SAP Integrated Solutions XI 3.1 Service Pack 2
  • SAP R/3 sources

Reproducing the Issue

  • Configure the Open SQL Driver with the SAP Integration Kit for Crystal Reports with the use of documentation 'BusinessObjects XI Integration for
SAP Solutions Installation and Administration Guide'
and 'BusinessObjects XI Integration for SAP Solutions User's Guide'.
  • Create new connection under the SAP Table, Cluster, or Function.
  • Cause

The CL folder is used to display the ABAP Clusters, once mapped.

    Resolution

This is the default behaviour although a bit unclear from the current available documentation guides.
Non ABAP clusters will actually be displayed in the DD entry and not in the CL entry.
