1415084 - What happen if Business Objects servers are stopped or disabled and the time of a WebIntelligence recurrent schedule is reached?

Symptom

  • Recurring schedule jobs behave differently in BusinessObjects Enterprise XIR2, XI 3.1 and XI 3.1 SP2 
  • In BOE XIR2, if BOE servers are down when the time of a recurrent schedule is reached then, once the servers will be up and running again, a job will be launch once and the Instance will succeed
  • In BOE XI 3.1, if BOE servers are down when the time of a recurrent schedule is reached then, once the servers will be up and running again, a job will be launch once and the Instance will failed
  • In BOE XI 3.1 SP2, if BOE servers are down when the time of a recurrent schedule is reached then, once the servers will be up and running again, a job will be launch once and the Instance will succeed
  • Instance failed with error "Cannot initialize Report Engine server. (Error: RWI 00226)" in BOE XI 3.1
